How to use Digital Planner Add-Ons
Sometimes we need to plan or track some aspects of our life more in depth and having just one page in our planner is not enough. For example, to track my readings I like to use a separate journal that was designed specifically for this task, so it has more specific templates and more hyperlinks that allow me to navigate through the journal more efficiently.
One of the perks of using digital planners is that even if you are using multiple planners you don’t need to carry any extra weight with you because everything is in you device. But if you still prefer having everything in one file I’ll share with you how you can do that later on this article!
Where to find digital planner add-ons?
As always with digital planning stuff, I would start with Etsy. There you can find several add-ons from different designers.
If you already know some designers that you like, you can directly check their etsy shop or website.
If you’d like to, you can check the planner add-ons from my shop.

How to merge an add-on with your digital planner
As I’ve mentioned at the beginning of this article, you can merge your digital planner with your add-ons and keep everything in one file.
I will show you two methods on how to do that using GoodNotes, but the steps should be similar for any other note-taking app.
Method #1: import the planner add-on
Use this method if you just bought the planner add-on or if you haven’t used it yet.

- Open your planner and go to one of the custom sections*.
- Click on the “+” button and then on “Import“.
- Locate the planner add-on that you want to use and select it.
- (Optional) Delete the pages that you don’t need in your planner add-on (e.g. cover and infos page).
*If your digital planner doesn’t have custom sections, you can choose any other page (e.g. the index page).
Method #2: copy and paste the planner add-on
This method is perfect if you are already using a planner add-on and want to merge it with your planner.
